Kelli Mangrum

Alli is ecstatic to be making her chicago theatre debut! Most recently, she understudied the role of Gertrude in Marriott Theatre’s production of Seussical. Regional Credits include Legally Blonde (Margot) at Round Barn Theatre and A Grand Night For Singing (Alyson) at West Virginia Public Theatre. Alli graduated with a BFA from Millikin University. Chris Alvaro

Max is grateful to be making his Refuge Theatre debut alongside such a loving cast. Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Max has performed off-Broadway and can be seen in nationwide commercials. Next, Max will be playing Frank Russell in the Chicago premiere of Michael John LaChiusa’s The Queen of the Mist at Firebrand Theatre. Max received training from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Janis Curtis

Katherine is delighted to be doing her second show with Refuge Theatre Project. Recently she was seen as Hannah in Spitfire Grill. Chicago credits: Old Albert in the world premiere of The CiviliTy of Albert Cashier. Jeff Nom for her work as Margaret White in Bailiwick Chicago’s Carrie, Lola in Damn Yankees (Oakbrook) and All In The Timing (The Organic). Other credits: Chess (Broadway), Val in A Chorus Line (National Tour), Grizabella in Cats (Vienna/Zurich) and Norma Desmond in Sunset Boulevard at Timber Lake Playhouse. Benny Perkins

Derek is thrilled to be performing in his first production with Refuge Theatre Project. His tours across the U.S., Canada, Europe, and South Africa have included performances with Peter Frampton, Ben Folds, America, Pat Benatar, Blues Traveler, and Chance The Rapper.  His songs have been requested for submission by country stars Montgomery Gentry, Little Big Town, and Garth Brooks and FOX-TV's Empire. Thanks and even-more-love-today-than-yesterday to his dazzlingly-wonderful wife (and co-star), Jenna.

Cindy Barnes

Jenna is delighted to make her Refuge Theatre debut! Her recent credits include New Faces Sing Broadway 1964 (Porchlight), Potiphar’s Wife/Narrator u/s  in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Citadel), and June Carter Cash in Ring of Fire (Williams Street Rep).  She is extremely grateful for her husband Derek, who encourages her daily to follow her dreams!  You can also see her this spring in Black Ensemble’s Lena!

Mike Ferris

Dan is thrilled to make his Refuge debut! Recent credits include 110 in the Shade (BoHo Theatre); Disaster! (Chicago Theatre Workshop); The Christmas Schooner, Mary Poppins, The Producers, and The Bardy Bunch (Mercury Theater); They're Playing Our Song (Brown Paper Box); Thrones! The Musical Parody (Apollo), and productions with Porchlight and Light Opera Works. Dan sings with The Four C Notes, the midwest's Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons tribute group. Jared is a Chicago performer.  This is Jared’s first performance with Refuge Theatre Project. Some of his Chicago credits include Gypsy with Porchlight Music Theatre; Christmas in Chicago: A Musical Revue with Fine Print Theatre (Performer/Writer), Jesus Christ Superstar at Paramount Theatre; Our Town at Redtwist Theatre; The Scottsboro Boys and Dreamgirls at Porchlight Theatre; Nine Lives the Musical at Chicago Musical Theatre Festival; Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric at Theatre Wit. He was a company member with Child’s Play Touring Theatre. BA in Musical Theatre Performance from Columbia College Chicago.

Tim is thrilled to make his Refuge Theatre Project debut. Heather Stovall

Molly is excited to make her Refuge Theatre debut!  Chicago credits include: Do Re Mi (Porchlight Revisits), Urinetown (Boho Theatre), Sister Act and Godspell (Marriott Theatre), Les Miserables and Cats (Paramount Theatre), Company (Writer's Theatre), The Marvelous Wonderettes (Open Door Rep), Edges (Circle Theatre), and A Very Merry Madrigal (Theo Ubique).  Molly is a BFA graduate of Nebraska Wesleyan University.  Love to Spencer, Margie, and Maisie.

Frank Nugent

Matt has been performing in Chicago since 2012, and is excited to be doing his 2nd show with RTP. He graduated from Catawba College with a BA Musical Theatre. Recent credits include Spitfire Grill (Refuge Theatre Project), The Rink (Porchlight Music Theatre), Reefer Madness (Cult Camp Productions), and The Lincoln Center Nat’l Tour of South Pacific (NETWorks). Roy is grateful to be making his debut with Refuge. Judy has waded into stand-up, is returning to piano and attempting an accordian half her size. Northwestern University alumna/David Downs. Represented by Big Mouth Talent.

Jesus Peña

Sebastian is thrilled to be back at Refuge Theatre Project! Since working with RTP in High Fidelity: The Musical, he has been unable to stay away from British comedies, performing as Simon Bliss in Hay Fever (Saint Sebastian Players) and Vicomte de Nanjac in An Ideal Husband (Ghostlight Ensemble). He most recently performed as Picasso in Picasso at the Lapin Agile (Ghostlight Ensemble) and can next be seen at the Pilsen café Frida Room for brunch or working on his upcoming original short film “Trout/Lily”, due for release in the fall. A proud son of a Mexican immigrant and a native Texan, Sebastian dedicates this show to his family for their abundant love and support.

Don Curtis/Dr. Stokes

Anthony is pleased to be making his Refuge debut. Recent credits include Into The Woods (Music Theatre Works), Funny Thing...Forum (Porchlight), Twas the Night Before Christmas (Emerald City Theatre), Deep In The Heart Of Tuna and Trash (NAFT). Jasmine is so excited to be working with Refuge in her Chicago debut! She is currently finishing her BFA in Musical Theatre at the Chicago College of Performing Arts! Her most recent roles include “Motormouth Maybelle” in Hairspray, “Sylvia” in All Shook Up, and “Aunt March” in Little Women. She would like to send all her love to her beautiful roommates and her rockstar mother for all the love and support!
